Campus Activities Board kicked off their Magnus Mystery Week with Magnus Mystery Day, on Nov 26, which gave the students an opportunity to share the great deals they found during Black Friday weekend.

This was the first ever Mystery Week according to Alexandra Ruggieri, the executive marketing chair for CAB.

“This is CSU's first-ever mystery week although the pride and spirit chair will often plan themed weeks every year, such as homecoming week,” she said. “Every detail was thought out and executed right down to the characters in the clue games and Scooby Snacks.”

The Mystery Day was centered around a social media contest where students tweeted at CAB’s twitter account, letting others know the best deals they found from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. If you tweeted out your best deal, you were then entered into a ‘mystery’ raffle contest, which raffled off three $25 Amazon gift cards.

This was the opening event of a five-day Mystery Week, which included at least one event on each day from Monday to Friday. Some of the other events that week included an escape room, a Murder Mystery Dinner at Mather Mansion, and Late Night Snacks with CAB throughout campus.
Greg Joyce, a senior at Cleveland State, said events like these are an added bonus to campus life.

“While events like these (Magnus Mystery Week) aren’t always talked about around campus, it definitely is a way to get to meet new people that more students should take advantage of,” he said.
Joyce entered his best deal of the weekend, which was a Patagonia jacket for more than 40 percent off.
Magnus Mystery Week leads up to Winterfest, which runs from Dec 4-12.

“Winter Fest is going to be such an amazing event filled with all of the seasonal things that everyone loves, without the cold,” said Ruggieri on how excited CAB is for the upcoming events.
